Program Design

1. GAP ‘A’ Team in action

The very first phase consists of engagement of the Changemaker with an ‘A’ team led by an Intensive leader who is highly experienced and can bring his/her networks and connections to the Changemaker’s initiative . This team comprises of a group of diversely experienced individuals from the world of Coaching, Academia, Business & NGOs who are all thoughtfully on boarded based on the relevance of their experience and diverse perspectives that they will provide for the Changemaker’s initiative.

2. Partner Team formation

After the ‘A’ team field visits to the Changemaker’s organization and the community it impacts, brainstorming sessions are conducted for new ideas that can dramatically increase the impact of the initiative. One Big Idea is finalized and an implementation plan is created.  All of this is done in 2-3 months.   Based on the requirements of the plan, the GAP ‘A’ Team engages  suitable partners for supporting the implementation process.

3. Implementation of the Big Idea

In the third phase, the Changemaker along with the Intensive Leader and the partners implement the Big Idea plan over a period of 9-10 months.

Intensive Team

View team profiles

Leaders

A GAP Intensive leader co-owns the project along with the Changemaker and connects GAP and outside world to the Changemaker to allow for cross pollination of ideas.

The Intensive leader and the GAP agent define the rules of engagement and on-boards an ‘A’ team for the Changemaker. In addition to this, he/she ensures proper measurement of outcome and impact throughout the year.

Council

The intensive council is a set of individuals with great experience and expertise who come together to review the ‘Big Ideas’ presented by the Changemakers and Intensive Leaders. This council ensures efficacy and viability of the Idea.  The members of this council may even sponsor any of the ideas or specific aspects of it and provide access to their networks and connections.

Since the nature of this council is overarching across all Intensive Changemakers, it also allows cross pollination between the Changemakers’ Big Ideas. Finally, the council works towards ensuring that each Changemaker’s impact is significant on the ground and is measured efficiently.

‘A’ Team Members

Each ‘A’ team is engaged with a Changemaker for a minimum of 3 months. During this time, the ‘A’ team comes up with a feasible Big Idea which will have a great impact on ground. Each team views its Changemaker’s initiative from the lens of social impact and gives insights and ideas on how to unlock the potential of the organisation.

The ‘A’ team members have at least two sessions to brainstorm and work on the feasibility of the ideas that each team member comes up with. They leverage their connections and knowledge to test the feasibility of the ideas and engage with partners who can potentially be part of implementation of the Big idea.

The ‘A’ team consists of the following members:

  1. Business Expert
  2. Coach
  3. NGO Representative
  4. Academician
  5. Student Volunteer
  6. Social Sector Expert

GAP Agents

The GAP Agents act as the backbone of the Intensive program. He/she maintains ensures efficiency and consistency of information in proper formats that are both timely and accurate.

The agents interact with Intensive Leader and partners, and coordinate all meetings to engage different players effectively.
