Bangalore

Building Blocks is an organisation committed to breaking the poverty cycle in India by providing free quality education to underprivileged children who lack the opportunity to receive any form of instruction. This organisation works for the betterment of slum children across India by providing them with a well-rounded education on par with most private schools.

Currently running 7 schools across Bangalore with a total strength of 700 children in their regular preschool and after school activities.

Current focus is on building a model school which is child centric and will make them entrepreneurs right after they pass out by imparting various skills and trades.

Key Achievements

Explored the potential of scaling up current model. Currently Suresh has set up 7 kindergarten schools for the slum children over the past 10 years.

With GAP’s intervention, he is open to double up the number within a span of 3 years which would otherwise not be possible with his current bandwidth.
